Our Offices & COVID-19 Lockdowns
At the start of March 2021, we moved into an office space in Toowong but while we're waiting for a kitchen to be installed, we weren't going to announce it. I guess we're still not...
We will be working remotely which isn't all that unusual as we've been doing it since 2012. So won't be at our new office much during lockdown. What does this mean for our clients? Not much difference really, though, we (Melissa and Craig) are preparing to move to our new home so packing boxes and trickle moving is also on the agenda.
We will continue to utilise our virtual office based in East Brisbane who will usually answer any phone calls and pass on a message to us. But as we are going through yet another lockdown, the calls will go to voicemail and we'll receive the voice recording. We will return your call as soon as possible. Seeing as it's also Easter weekend, phone calls will go to voicemail throughout the weekend and assuming lockdown ends, will be answered by the lovely administration team at our virtual office come Tuesday.
Face to face meetings:
These will not occur whilst we are in lockdown. We will address this after Easter pending Government decisions.
Email is our favourite form of communication - because it's written. If we need to respond to your email, we attempt to do so 10am - 5pm Monday to Wednesday and intermittently on Thursdays and Fridays. However, as we do work remotely and flexibly, responses may be late in the evenings as well.
We've been doing these for years. Just book an appointment to request your virtual meeting or call at a mutually beneficial time - hopefully - (we use Microsoft Teams nowadays). Ideally our calendar is up to date but if we need to reschedule for any reason, we'll let you know as soon as possible. If there's not a time that works in the calendar, send an email to see if we might be able to manually book a call in with you.
I think that's all we need to address? Basically, business as usual for us which is keeping busy whether in our new office, working from the couch (or maybe bed), working in the backyard, and working in between packing boxes and shifting them. Plenty to do - at least we won't be bored!
Oh, and of course this lockdown happens after we move into an actual office and at the end of the FBT year, end of the BAS quarter, and leading into final due dates of the 2020 taxes...it's time for a holiday soon....
